Arsenal playing with all its strength in the EPL

Although, the perfect soccer performance is hard to describe, it is not impossible. But, it can be said that Arsenal is performing really good or the performance of Arsenal has been a great one till now in this season of the English Premier League (EPL).   In its match against Chelsea, the gunners came out as winners with a score of 3-0. Their performance in the first half was really commendable, with their fourth successive win in the EPL for the very first time since last year’s October. The side of Arsene Wenger was far much superior to one of Chelsea in the playing field.   Arsenal drives this season of EPL Arsenal’s performance in the 2016-2017 season of Premier League is excellent. Although it lost and had a draw against Leicester and Liverpool respectively, which were the first two football games of EPL, thereafter it has been in great form. Through their successful performance in the EPL campaign, the Gunners have now built a solid platform for themselves.   However, Arsenal should keep up with their excellent performance like they did against Chelsea in order to win this Premier League. They have to consistently play well in all the matches as well as get results out of matches against which they do not play well, similar to their recent match with Southampton at the Emirates.   While defeating Chelsea, the Gunners displayed an excellent exhibition of their vibrant and dynamic football play, albeit it was lacking a lot of ingenuity and attacking ideas during that match.   In the 2-1 victory, Wenger planned the team’s first Chelsea defeat in this Premier League season since October 2011 at the Stamford Bridge, where it was 5-3. The team of Antonio Conte was unable to compete with the pace, skill, and intensity like that of Arsenal. Besides this, it was also the biggest victory of Arsenal over Chelsea after April 1997.   Collective efforts of Arsenal over Chelsea All members of Arsenal performed collectively to achieve their win against Chelsea. Wenger’s team contributed in the positive way to their result, particularly Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for winning over Chelsea. And, this was just a week before the 20th anniversary of Arsene Wenger as the manager of Arsenal.   Sanchez has been consistent in showcasing his outstanding awareness, technical skills, and electrifying pace, since he joined Arsenal for £35m in July 2014 from Barcelona. This 27-year-old Arsenal player dispossessed Gary Cahill after which he executed a superb break over Thibaut Courtouis, which brought Arsenal in the winning position.   This was the 47th goal of this Chilean player in his hundredth appearance for the team. Thierry Henry is just one goal ahead of Sanchez in the same total number of football games. Following the opening of Sanchez, the team completed a number of clever passes, which was an intelligent move. As a result, Theo Walcott doubled their advantage.   This was the first time that Sanchez scored in the second consecutive EPL game after May 2013. He left behind Hector Bellerin from a margin with the latter’s 6th goal since the beginning of previous EPL season. No EPL defender has scored this much till now. The ball use by the right back player was excellent against Chelsea, along with the tackling of the former Barcelona player.   Moreover, Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi made an effective partnership, which helped to defend Arsenal besides Bellerin. The left back was superbly done by Nacho Monreal. The former defender of Malaga and Osasuna, Monreal maintained a calm possession as the solid defender of Arsenal just like Bellerin. This move also urged the other creative players of the team to show their talent and skill, among which one was Mesut Ozil.   Ozil delivered a wonderful technical performance, which was characterized by inspiring movement, vision, and passing. The German internationalist, who is capped 81 times, also scored the third goal for Arsenal, which was his 21st goal in 121 football games for the Arsenal club.   Ozil scored his first goal in 2016 at the Emirates with a quick counter through his attacking move that ended with the player’s gallop past N’Golo Kante, after which he brilliantly exchanged passes with Sanchez, before he calmly finished clearing Courtois.   This goal was great for Arsenal’s first half match, which was then consolidated in the second half of 45 minutes, where they maintained their game control, regardless of adding to their supremacy.   Bright position of Arsenal The vibrant and dynamic team of Arsenal has a brilliant outlook. Starting from the untiring Sanchez to goalkeeper Petr Cech, each player of Arsenal helped to deliver a high-paced, committed, outstanding, and spirited team performance. The team is clearly playing with all its energy.   By defeating Chelsea, the Gunners vividly illustrate that they still have the potential to win the EPL title for the first time ever since the 2003-2004 EPL season. They are wholeheartedly embracing their success and are aiming to continue this in their following EPL game, which is against Burnley, albeit this victory is a colossal task for the 66-year-old Frenchman, Wenger.   With the 3rd position in EPL till now, Arsenal can surely win the league this year, if it maintains this type of consistent performance. The Londoners can be as good as Manchester City in the title race. Moreover, the North London giants are a favorite to challenge the crown of Premier League, along with Manchester City.
